The Mardi Gras Parade is scheduled for the 1st of March, as usually happens on the first weekend of the month. Something like 10,000 people will parade along Oxford and Flinders street.

I think this is the first time (I could be completely wrong) but there are seats for sale for this year’s parade. The price, well, not very friendly, I’d stick to the milk crates.

But, as you all already know, the Sydney Mardi Gras is not only about the parade, there are lots of celebrations prior to the big day so let’s check it out.

There is pretty much a party every two days starting on the 22nd. One day to party and another one to rest? On the 22nd is the Harbour Party, at a cost of $ 139,00 per ticket you can enjoy the open-air dance floor at Mrs Macquaries Chair.

Two days later there is the Ivy Pool Party for an entrance fee of $ 55,00, seems more decent than the previous. And there you will find some hottie lifeguards, so they say.

On the 26th there is the option of the Sunset Cruise $ 48,00 for a four hour event including complimentary champagne and canapés. The Sydney Glass Island vessel leaves the Man O’ War Wharf next to Sydney Opera House at 6pm, and returns at 10pm.

On the day before the expected parade, February 28th, our own Marcus Rivera will be performing at the Dome Burwood RSL Club during the Mardi Gras Queen of the Night 2014 event starting at 8pm. Krystie Erickson, Lisa Budin-Price and Cleo Diana will also be performing on this night. Don’t miss it, other attractions include a pageant, a variety show and a dance party. The tickets cost $35,00 and can be acquired through
